PROJETO
INDIA IN BRIEF
Projeto
Índia came up in July 2003, from the solid confidence of
a group of Indians and Brazilians who believe in the huge potentiality
of the commercial, social-economic and cultural relations between
Brazil and India.
Just to give an idea of the reasons
behind our enthusiasm, the Indian Government has a US $ 5 billion
target for trade with the Brazilian market in the year 2005, same
level of trade between India and Japan, today. This figure grows
in importance if we take into consideration that the same target,
as projected for the end of 2003 is around US$ 1.5 billion (Source:
Gazetta Mercantil, 09/23/2003).
The leading software exporter in
the world, with high-tech centres, the homeland of Mahatma Gandhi,
Jawaharlal Nehru, Indira Gandhi, Ravindranath Tagore, Dr. Ambedkar
and Ravi Shankar is longing for intense relations with the country
of natural resources, modern aeronautical engineering and the
homeland of Lula, J. Kubitschek, Pelé, Machado de Assis,
Paulo Coelho and Tom Jobim. There is plenty of synergy - besides
mystics and mythology that flow generously - in the cultural and
social-economic aspects, which may be inserted within the framework
of exchange between these two countries.
Projeto Índia believes in
the Brazilian and Indian governmental plans to foster such bilateral
relations, in their countries' great mutual intererest, for the
welfare of their people and to make the emerging countries less
dependent upon the G-8 nations.
The business world may lead our
countries to the cultural exchange world, of endless riches and
opportunities. Navigating Projeto Índia is a must. Welcome
to our website.
