OFFICIAL VISIT TO INDIA
From the 26th to the 29th of January, 2004, Projeto India took part in the business delegation accompanying Brazilian President Lula in his official visit to India. That was a major event and an important step toward the development of the bilateral relations between the two countries
In his speech, the President stressed that Brazilian entrepreneurs must work in a more aggressive way, in business terms, and they must believe and invest in foreign trade. His speech also defended a socially responsible globalization.
Besides Brazilian and Indian businessmen from several fields, some Brazilian ministers attended the event, namely: Guido Mantega (Minister of Planning, Management and Budget), Walfrido dos Mares Guia (Tourism), Luiz Fernando Furlan (Develpment, Industry and Foreign Trade) and Celso Amorim (International Affairs), as well as the ambassadors of India in Brazil, of Brazil in India and several other diplomats from both countries.
The Project is present in India on o permanent basis, through its business partners in that country (See in Business Partners in India).
